Keldaro Privacy Policy

01

Scope

This policy applies to the Keldaro website, an informational site for the restaurant. It explains what the site does, and does not do, with information about the people who visit it, and how we handle the details you share when you make a reservation, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

02

What the website does not collect

The site is made of static pages. There is no online booking system, no user account, no form, no payment processing and no newsletter. It uses no analytics, advertising pixels, marketing cookies or behavioural tracking, loads no external fonts or scripts, and sets no cookies — so no cookie banner is shown. All images and styles are served from the site itself.

03

Reservations by phone and email

When you book a table, place a takeaway order or enquire about a private gathering, you share details such as your name, contact number or email, the date and size of your party and any dietary needs. We use this information only to manage your booking and to contact you about it. It is not used for marketing and is not shared with third parties, except where strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for.

Booking details are kept only for as long as needed to manage the reservation and our ordinary business records, and are then deleted.

04

Server logs

For the secure operation of the site, the hosting provider may process standard technical log data (IP address, time of the request, the page requested, status code and browser identifier). This information is used only to keep the site available and secure and is kept for a short period before deletion.

05

Your rights and contact

Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have shared with us, and you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa). If the way the site works changes, this page will be updated beforehand. For any privacy question:
